*Is tired of repeating the comment in every and each gallery*
Oki, let's see.
Thi is my newest picture and was fully madewith openCanvas 4 and Photoshop 7, so please...Don't be too hard with me!! I know I have so many things to learn...
VISITORS, COMMENT, PLEASE!!! I NEED IT!!!
The pattern on his robes follows the one that you can see in the "73" sries of Nokia, "L'Amour edition". I've got my 7370 full with these flowers, so I decidedto make some brushes for this picture exclusively.
If you want my "Aramais" brushes, let me know, because I'm not uploading my stock brshes anywhere. Currently I can offer sakura blossoms and these ones.
I know the folds in the blue sleeve are not very worked, but I was too tired of this, and I always sucked with folds, so every tip about the is really welcome.

Don't be so hard on yourself, you did a nice job and it's much better than my attempts at coloring.
Here's the critique part ((in other words feel free to ignore this part))
There are two strands of hair that don't look quite right. They're the ones by his ear and touch or almost touch the collar. They don't have a definate outline like the rest of his hair. Other than that the hair is colored beautifully.
The background is lovely and the rest of his clothes are drawn and detailed well but I don't think the colors work together. There is not much I can tell you to help because I pretty much suck at color combinations, but if you choose more neutral colors, a brighter color will stand out more. Useing more neutral tones ((black, white, tan)) can also help with the shadeing too. You can also diffrent shades and hues of one color for the same effect. Too much color tends to make things look all over the place ((there are some exceptions and some people are really good at makeing bright colors work)).
Thanks for reading my long comment, feel free to ignore my critique. It's here to help not insult so please don't take it personally.
you seem to be right on the path to greatness, this is a sweet pic I love how you did that with the hair and eyes. the patturn on the clothing is superb as well! ^^

Thank you very much for the tips. I can say the same as you about his neck. Now that I see it finished and "in cool", the curve shouldn't be that way but more straight. Thanks for helping me see it ^^
Thanks a lot for the reference pic, too. I'll keep that in mind for upcoming pictures. I know about the outline to be very wide even if I use a 0'05mm outliner, but I just don't know what to do to make the outlines thinner. Anyways, I appreciate a lot your critique nd your fave!! Thanks!!
If I encourage advanced critique is because I just *need* to read critiques and tips from my visitors, so I like to read everything they leave to me ^^
I know about the hair strands, but sometimes I think that a "silky" effect would be neat, but I can see some odd thingies there ase you stated. Thanks for letting me know.
I've been told a lot of times that the colors work well together, and I think they do as I've seen lots of combinations with these colours, and so I saw them in movies like LOTR ^^
About the background, I tried to make something like a japanese wallpaper, but maybe there are some blurry branches that may seem like a not-so-real background. I suck at backgrounds, so I make them as simple as possible to save up some work and madness xDDD

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
